 In addition to his numerous awards and recognition for criminal defense, attorney Troy P. Burleson made national news in 2016 for his work against the Department of Public Safety's crime lab.  Attorney Troy Burleson successfully exposed a State's expert witness during cross examination over the course of a series on hotly contested and highly publicized trial.  During those trial, Troy Burleson earned state-wide and national attention for exposing a massive cover up regarding the testimony of the State's lead forensic scientist.  Over the course of 3 trials, Troy Burleson became the first criminal defense lawyer in Texas to make a State's expert witness invoke the 5th Amendment during cross examination.  This lead to the removal of the State's scientist, a massive reshaping of blood testing policies and ultimately lead to the reversal, dismissal or to "Not Guilty" verdicts in over 20,000 DWI cases in Texas.

Troy P. Burleson is a graduate of The Dedman School of Law at Southern Methodist University.  He is a veteran of over 600 criminal trials and has successfully obtained "Not Guilty" verdicts, dismissals and reductions for over 1,000 clients accused of criminal offenses.

When not defending his clients, Attorney Troy Burleson spends time with his wife Melissa and his beloved chocolate labs, Ammo and Kimber, at his south Texas ranch.
